Ryan and I have been saying for a while now that our youngest, Roman resembles a Dr. Seuss character. Ryan finally found his twin and photoshopped Roman in. So hilarious! With his big belly and crazy hair he fits a Dr. Seuss character well! :)

Sofia's first girl's night with Ava
My sister-in-law and I took our girls out for hot chocolate one night. We were going to go to Starbucks but it isn't open as late as Bob Evans, so we went there instead. Sofia was beside herself and kept saying she wanted to do girls night everynight! We got there before Michelle and Ava so we went ahead and got a table. Sofia was talking to everyone she could..and was very charming. When Ava got there the fun really began! They drank their hot chocolate and ate some hash browns and crawled under the table and giggled and giggled.
Roman aka TAZ, Cookie Monster, Tornado...
Roman is definitely strong-willed and determined! He knows what he wants and if he doesn't get it, you know he's ticked off! I hope he is this determined about life and his walk with Jesus. If I had even an ounce of his determination....
He loves to copy big sis and bro and one day I made rice krispy treats for them. They obviously didn't last long as Sofia would move a chair over to the counter and eat as much as she pleased while I was folding laundry..I should have known quietness was a sign of mischievousness...but it was nice while it lasted. Anyway, I realize Roman is being very quiet too and I go in to check on him and what do you know he is doing the very same thing his sister was doing...helping himself to some rice krispies! I was laughing so hard because it was so darn cute, but man he is something else! Nothing stands in that boy's way!

Sofia the Fashionista
Sofia loves to dress up, put makeup on and try on all kinds of shoes during the day. This girl changes her outfits at least 3-4 times! And these last few days have been super cold...temps haven't gotten higher than 20 degrees during the day and she insists on wearing shorts and a tank top! I usually let her wear whatever she wants while we are at home but when we go out she has to wear something warm and it has to somewhat match. For the most part she doesn't give me too much trouble. However one day we needed to run some errands and she was very adamant about wearing this particular outfit....
Today she changed her clothes for the 3rd time and put on shorts, a tank top and her daddy's winter hat! I am not sure how she isn't cold? Now she is upstairs having quiet time in her room and she has her 4th outfit on for the day, which consists of two pairs of shorts, mismatched shoes/socks and a dress. ;)
The hat used to be Reece's when he was 2 and the pink thing sticking out of the hat belongs to her babydoll carseat..everything else looks pretty normal but on her lips (hard to see) is a small square shaped sticker that she's pretending is lipstick!

Drop it like it's hot!
Two Sunday's ago we went over to Ryan's sister Michelle's house for our late Christmas gathering (everyone was sick over Christmas!). The kids always have a blast together and the weather was a little warmer so we allowed the 3 older kids to play outside. Well Reece didn't feel like running 20 feet into the house to go pee so he decided to drop his pants and pee FACING their house. Now granted he was near a wooded area but anyone standing on their deck got a full frontal view of him! He just giggled as I yelled at him to cover "it" up! Of course Ryan was like "atta boy!"...insert furrowed brow look from me...Life with Boys! I do love it but it definitely has brought me out of my shell some..:)
And yes, I did take a picture of him peeing but my conscience is telling me not to post it! ;)

Playing Catch-up!
Sorry it's been so long since our last funny post about the kids! We've been busy and just got over being sick! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year!
One morning before school Reece asked daddy if he could have some money for ice cream/drink. Ryan's reply was "Sorry buddy I don't have any money for you today." Reece then says, "daddy work really hard today so you can make enough money for me to buy ice cream or drink!"
This past week Ryan took Reece to GameStop next to Walmart so Reece could use some of his Christmas/Birthday money to buy something he liked. Reece saw a steering wheel and pedal set for $179 and was very excited and wanted Ryan to buy it but to his dismay daddy said no. Reece then says..."daddy you need to work really really hard at your job this week so we can have enough money to buy this!" Reece takes this whole money earning thing to another level!
Sofia was sick over Christmas break and even spent a night in the hospital because she had some trouble breathing. Ryan stayed with her so that she wouldn't feel alone. The nurses were really nice to her and gave her a few princess stickers, a stuffed puppy dog, a new baby doll, & even a purple blanket that had been quilted and donated to the pediatric floor to be given to the patients!! Despite all of this attention and her obsession with stickers she was not too impressed with the idea of getting chest x-rays. The technicians bribed her with stickers and when she questioned whether they would be princess stickers they apparently lied & said that yes they were sure they could get her some princess stickers. She 'smiled' for her chest pictures and even croaked "cheese" at the appropriate times but when the male x-ray tech presented her with boy stickers and NOT princesses, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with them or him anymore. That's our Sofe Bofe... she wants it her way and she won't take it any other way.
Sofia also provided some laughter while having a conversation with Ryan a few days after her hospital visit. Ryan was explaining to her how important it was for her to love Jesus. He told her that, as her parents, we would always love her too and we would do our very best to raise her to grow up to be a good christian girl. Quick as a whip she replies with "no daddy, I'm going to grow up to be a good Ava girl... not Christian." ...from the mouth of babes haha.
Here in this picture Sofia is modeling her latest makeup trend...markers! I thought she was coloring quietly at her table while I was doing dishes..Nope! She thought she would color on her eyelids. ;)
Roman's world revolves these days around Cookie Monster, Elmo, Nonuts (which means doughnuts), pappy, & the word 'NO' spoken with great conviction. His nana H sent him a large plush Cookie Monster and a matching sized Elmo for him to open for Christmas.
He was quite amused!!
